The homework for next week is to read chapters 3 and 4 and personalize the prayers for each chapter. Pray them through every day if you can, but don’t make it a chant or a ritual. Just do what you can do to make it genuine worship, even if it’s only a paragraph you are getting through. The second bit of homework is to write a prayer list and rather than repeating the same requests over and over again, turn each request into praise to the Lord. For example, if your children are sick, rather than constantly begging God for their health, praise Him for their strong immune systems to fight it off and for good health care and for His sovereignty in their lives and so forth. We are going to keep track of God’s amazing answers to prayer that goes above all we ask or imagine when we go to Him with a heart of worship.
I have loaded the podcast to the website. There was no worksheet to go along with it. I am going to load a journal entry I keep referring to regarding my journey from struggling with doubt and even hostility toward a passage to a heart of joy and worship for God’s goodness and faithfulness. I refer to it in this podcast as well as many past ones. I read it in the first podcast I did back in November, I think most have forgotten it since then.
As always, let me know if you have any questions.
